NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory explores generative design for lander
The search for life in the solar system is expanding beyond Mars to the outer planets like Saturn and Jupiter and their moons. To reach further distances, landers must be able to carry more fuel and add more scientific equipment for exploration. Collaborating with Autodesk, NASA’s JPL used generative design technology to design a concept lander with lower mass and improved performance.
